Gratitude – 01/05/2009

Today, I am grateful for:

1. Broadway.  My wife and I went to see Boeing Boeing this weekend (my Christmas present for her), and both really enjoyed it.

At least, I really enjoyed it, and she says she does, though she may have just been saying that so I didn’t feel like I’d given her a crap gift.

That’s one of the perks of living in the NYC area – it’s relatively easy to trot into town and take in some really good shows.

Speaking of which…

2. Hockey.  My wife’s present to me was tickets to watch the Devils and Senators play (also this weekend), and the teams did not disappoint.  Although I feared we might get lynched, cheering for Ottawa whilst sitting in the thick of a New Jersey crowd, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing two solid teams play 3 periods of good hockey.  It even went to overtime, where Ottawa dropped the game 4-3.  It was great to be back in an arena again, regardless.

3. Vacation.  Now that it’s over, I appreciate it all the more.  Isn’t that always the way.
